PR

Honey PR will represent you, your business, services and products on a local, regional and national level. It's our knowledge, creativity and successful campaigns that brought you to us. You may have the ideas and the passion to take on the world of PR, but the time, the contacts? That's a different story...

...one that we'd quite like to write for you!

Building Relationships

We are the face and voice behind your brand. It's up to us to build an awareness and understanding of what you do with those key journalists who have the power to promote you within your chosen markets. If the press haven't heard of you, they can't and won't write about you, so briefings from us are vital in order to create a long term relationship between you and the press.

Press Release Writing

Drip Feed. There is no point whatsoever in bombarding press with irrelevant and untimely news stories, so its imperative we take a look at the long term picture of what you want to achieve and unleash stories that tie in with current news and consumer interest subjects.

The releases we write will look to trigger interest in your business/services, answer consumer questions, offer opinion on key subjects, announce events, give details of product diversification or key openings and launches. We may target such stories to trade magazines, beauty and health pages of national glossies, to local business writers, column writers, business or family journalists of the national daily's... it very much depends on your specialist service and target market. Positioning your business within forthcoming features in trade titles is a great means of affording your business the status it deserves, while a new gadget appearing in FHM or a new face cream on the pages of Grazia will impact on your bottom line.

We will demonstrate individuality and creativity, ensuring well writen, great ideas land in the laps/ laptops/ mail boxes of key journalists at just the right time... if we don't already know them, we will find them and make friends!

Relevant Markets

What are your markets? Where could you see your business profiled? Do you want local press, features in the national glossies, business editorials or news stories in trade publications? Have you thought about online magazines? Radio or TV interviews? Leave this to us. We will look at your business as a whole and instinctively source markets, publications and producers that may have an interest in your business. It's all about flexibility.

Yes, we have a strategy! Yes, we stick to it and get results - but the real thrills and some of the most inspiring results come from the stuff that goes on behind the scenes. The result of Monday morning brainstorms and last thing at night lightbulb moments. Trust and you will see!

Event management & co-ordination
You may not always have a new venue opening, a new product on the cards or anything else much to shout about. It’s our job to keep the momentum up and come up with ideas to create press. We may find an event happening in your region that we feel would be good for you to be involved in. We may decide to come up with a ‘spectacular stunt’ to promote you as a business that will get everyone talking. It’s possible you may have a birthday approaching? We can come up with the creative ideas, organise an event, co-ordinate the whole thing from start to finish and ensure you remain at the forefront when its time for your future clients and customers to make decisions.

Case study: Go Ape! High Wire Forest Adventure

Intro

Go Ape! were perhaps a little perplexed when the Honey girls arrived one morning to pitch for business (against some of the region's finest I might add). But after a little leg crossing and negative body language from the undisputed Chief of Gorillas himself, Honey PR promised a multitude of exciting PR possibilities for the coming year. We waited and we waited (and we waited) and while we waited, sweet friends and colleagues sent uplifting texts to us at obscure times of day that simply said "come on go ape" It became a bit of a mantra for us. Finally, never one to shy away from a little risk (!) Go Ape! invited the honeys to jump aboard and swing from the proverbial zipwire in January 2006. We are rather happy to admit that our word was indeed our bond.

Brief

Established 2002, this High Wire Forest Adventure Activity was preparing to expand with the launch of two new sites (taking the total to seven) across the UK. To date, the company had enjoyed relatively isolated national press and a good level of local press in areas surrounding each course. Increased national awareness of the company and its activity was imperative, and building awareness of corporate packages a must. Targeted press within relevant publications was required in order to drive HR's and decision makers to the website for free online package quotes. Two courses in Delamere Forest and the Forest of Dean were in planning stages set to open in March 2006, and Go Ape! envisaged local press in both areas.

Results

2006 saw Go Ape! featured in approximately 120 pieces of national press, including several high quality placements within The Guardian, The Independent, The Telegraph, The Observer, The Sun, The Sunday Express, The Times and The Sunday Times. Further placements include Woman magazine, The Metro, FHM, Thats Life, Easy Jet, Flybe, Family Circle and Top Sante.

Continuous and increased local press was achieved. Press visits with regional lifestyle publications and freelance journalists were set up throughout the year resulting in strong visual features supporting local courses in addition to DPS features in titles such as Personnel Today, supporting the growth of corporate packages. BBC National TV coverage was achieved in addition to individual regional TV and radio broadcast coverage. The launch of the two new courses resulted in TV, radio, local and regional press.

Now, nineteen months into the campaign, Go Ape has been positioned in many credible features increasing its profile amongst its associates as it enjoys substantial growth and expansion. With its newest course now open in Aberfoyle, Scotland, Go Ape now has 12 sites across the UK (with a proposed six more set for Spring 2008) and recent editorial coverage in The Independent Business Monthly, The Telegraph and other leading titles continues to strengthen its national profile. Go Ape is much loved by its visitors and continuously grows and develops to breed loyalty amongst all those who visit.

This year to date Go Ape has had approximately 500 pieces of positive quality press.

The launch of its member magazine escAPE, edited by our own Consultant, Hellena Barnes, leads us on to yet another exciting and truly inspiring page.
